Curated by designer jeweller Joanne Gowan ( who lives and works in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire. )

Artisans will be chosen for high quality of designing and craftsmanship with a preference given to Northern makers.

​All held in the beautiful Ampleforth Abbey estate, north of York.

Entrance to the event will be free.

 

As part of Acquire there will be 3 ticketed Talks each day about related subjects, curated by Susan Rumfitt ( BBCs Antique Roadshow jewellery specialist), from a number of eminent experts including Susan Rumfitti, Sarah Leighton of JQV Gems and silversmith Brett Payne. . There will be a charge to attend talks. 

 

There is an excellent tea rooms serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, plenty of onsite parking and the Abbey Church to visit. So there will be plenty to encourage visitors to make a day of it.

 

There will be other events at the Abbey over that weekend including Heritage Open Day tours and Applepicking.  

 

There is some accommodation B&B onsite and plenty in nearby villages and towns.

 

The Event plan is :

Thursday 17th September : Launch party with wine & cheese for invited guests 4pm to 7pm

Acquire open times Friday 18th Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th September.

 10am to 5pm daily, with Talks at 11am, 1pm & 3pm each day.
